Jiri to Everest Base camp Trek

Starting with a 6- hour (188km) drive to Jiri (2,100m) this trek follows the traditional route taken by the early Everest expeditions and still serves as main artery to the roadless Sagarmatha (Everest) region. This trek has the advantage of helping trekkers to acclimatise en route, a number of stunning attractions such as walk through lovely forests, visit several Buddhist Monasteries, enjoy Sherpa hospitality and mesmerizing the spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam and many others. It is about 190km/120miles long and the total altitude gained on the innumerable uphill portions will be 9000m – much higher even than Mt. Everest. After Namche we follow the main trail to base camp with all its attractions. Each year around 1000 trekkers choose Jiri to Everest Base Camp route.


Day 01:      Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel 

Days 02:         Kathmandu (1350m.) to Jiri (1305m.) by bus or reserved van.

Days 03:         Trek Jiri to Deurali (2500m.).

Days 04:         Trek Deurali to Sete (2575m.).

Days 05:         Trek Sete to Lamjura Pass (3530m.) to Junbesi (2675m.)

Days 06:         Trek Junbesi to Trakshindo Pass ( 3071m.) to Nunthala (2350m.).

Days 07:         Trek Nunthala to Kharikhola (2050m.).

Days 08:         Trek Kharikhola to Surke (2339m.).

Days 09:         Trek Surke to Phakding (2640m.).

Days 10:         Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446m.).

Days 11:         Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.

Days 12:         Trek Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3867m.).

Days 13:         Trek Thyangboche to Dingboche (4343m.).

Days 14:         Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization. On this day it is possible to make

side trip towards Chukhung (4730m.).

Days 15:         Trek Dingboche to Lobuche Village (4840m.).

Days 16:         Trek Lobuche to Gorakshep (5321m.) to Everest Base Camp (5486m.)

to Gorakshep.

Days 17:         Trek Gorakshep to Kala Pathar (5545m.) to Lobuche.

Days 18:         Trek Lobuche to Thyangboche.

Days 19:         Trek Tyangboche to Khumjung (3790m.) to Namche Bazaar.

Days 20:         Trek Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800m.).

Days 21:         Fly Lukla to Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel
